LIFELINE WATER ASSISTANCE APPLICATION

The Lifeline Water Assistance Program offers Azusa Light & Water customers a reduced rate for the monthly water service size charge. To qualify for the program you must reside in a single-family dwelling with a water meter size of less than ¾”, a household member must be either permanently disable or over the age of 62 years and meet household income qualifications.

In order to maintain the Lifeline Water Assistance Rate, Azusa Light & Water will annually request for the account holder to renew the Lifeline Water Assistance completing a new application. If there is a change in occupancy, address, or income a new application will be required.

Lifeline Water Assistance Program Eligibility:

To apply for the Lifeline Water Assistance program, applicants must meet the following conditions in order to qualify for the assistance program.

1)   The Azusa Light & Water account holder must dwell and claim the residential premise as a primary residence complete the application.
2)   Must meet the program income qualifications*.
3)   Reside in a single-family dwelling with a water meter size of less than ¾”,
4)   Complete the Lifeline Water Assistance Program Application and provide copies of most recent Tax Returns.

**For Households over 8 People add $8,840.00 Per Person

Once the application is submitted please allow 4 to 6 weeks to process the program application. If the application is approved please allow an additional one to two billing statements for the reduced rate to reflect on the ALW billing statement.
