The City of Azusa, in partnership with the California Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD), is proud to implement the CalHome Program within the City. The program is intended to assist first-time homebuyers through deferred-payment loans for down payment assistance to buy a new residence or assist existing owners with funds to undertake rehabilitation improvements. All funds to individual homeowners will be in the form of loans.
- First Time Homebuyer eligible applicants will receive a down payment loan of up to $100,000.
- Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation eligible applicants will receive a maximum loan amount of $100,000.
Interested applicants are invited to apply for the program. The application process may include and is not limited to participant eligibility review, property eligibility requirements, underwriting requirements, homebuyer education, occupancy requirements, etc.
