The Azusa City Council provides policy direction, establishes goals, and sets priorities for City government. The City Council:
•Establishes overall City policies, conducts public hearings, and considers staff reports and public input before making decisions •Approves appropriate resolutions, ordinances, and an annual city budget. •Appoints and oversees the City Manager and City Attorney. •Attends meetings of other agencies as appropriate to enhance communications and coordination. •Establishes City Goals and Priorities. •Appoints interested citizens to various advisory boards, commissions, and committees. • Serves as Board for the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency, the Azusa Public Financing Authority, and the Azusa Utility Board.
Meeting are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month in the Azusa Civic Auditorium (213 E. Foothill Blvd.) Closed Session at 6:30 PM and Regular Meeting/Ceremonial at 7:30 PM.
