Walk of Freedom engravings are visible along the walkway that leads up to the public courtyard at the front of City Hall. Individuals may submit an Azusa veteran to honor with their name engraved on the 'Walk of Freedom' by filling out an application and submitting the required supplemental materials along with payment. The Military Banner Program pays tribute to the men and women that are actively serving in the military, veterans and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, by displaying a prestigious banner in the City as a way to publicly express the gratitude and support of the armed services. Any person or organization can sponsor a military banner. Sponsor(s) must submit an application and appropriate fee to the City Manager's Department for review. The designated honoree named on the banner must be an active duty member of the armed forces or a service person that has given their life in the most recent military conflict; and must be a City of Azusa resident. A military service person's name cannot appear on more than one banner.
