LA County Health Department confirms first COVID-19 case in Azusa
“As more and more testing becomes available, it was a matter of time that we had a local case reported. We hope the infected individual is well and makes a full recovery. It only underscores how important it is for all of us to continue to practice good hygiene etiquette and comply with the Safer at Home order. Social Distancing is the strongest tool we have right now. We must continue to be vigilant not only for our own health but more importantly, our most-vulnerable elderly residents.” Sergio Gonzalez, City Manager.
The City of Azusa is following the “Safer at Home” order set by LA County and the State of California. Everyone is required to stay home except to get food, get necessary health care, or go to an essential job. All public and private group events and gatherings are prohibited anywhere within Los Angeles county, this includes the city of Azusa. If you go out, keep at least 6 feet of distance.
